I’m now ensconced in the nice Bangkok hotel that my (favorite) BF booked with points for me.
A few observations before bed:
– Bangkok is much more developed/ built up than it was 11 years ago. There’s a new airport and many new highways that put even Southern CA’s to shame.
– But the night markets look pretty much the same as 11 years ago.
– I can still say “I only speak a little Thai” in Thai and can count a little bit. This provided much amusement for my cab driver and was helpful when he told me he needed to take the Tollway and needed jet-sib Bhat (70 Thai Bhat).
